Nick's Background
Nick holds a Master of Social Work from Cal Poly Humboldt, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Humboldt State University. His background includes school social work, community-based mental health, and working with the neurodivergent community. These experiences have shaped his commitment to culturally responsive, person-centered care.
Outside of the therapy space, Nick is passionate about community, nature, and creativity. He finds balance through time outdoors and loves playing disc golf.
Experience and Approach
Nick approaches therapy as a collaborative and relational process grounded in compassion, authenticity, and cultural humility. He believes healing begins with connection, both to oneself and to others, and that therapy can provide a safe space to explore, process, and grow at one’s own pace. Drawing from a trauma-informed perspective that acknowledges both personal and systemic experiences, Nick centers each person’s agency throughout the healing process. His practice incorporates mindfulness and is strength-based meeting clients where they are while honoring their unique stories, identities, and lived experiences.
