Ketamine Vocal Activation (KAVA)
KAVA is an expressive, somatic, and deeply embodied process that combines the therapeutic potential of ketamine with the healing power of sound. Guided by experienced facilitators, this practice invites you to use your voice — through tone, vibration, and intuitive sound — as a bridge between body and psyche.
KAVA may be offered as an individual session or as part of a group experience, and can complement ongoing psychotherapy, integration work, or other healing modalities.
What to Expect
During a KAVA session, gentle vocal prompts and sound-based techniques support the release of tension, emotional expression, and integration of inner experiences. The use of ketamine can help quiet the mind’s usual defenses, opening space for spontaneous vocalization, emotional insight, and energetic flow.
Each session is attuned to your unique process — whether your voice emerges as a whisper, a hum, or a resonant tone. There’s no expectation of musical skill or performance. Instead, the focus is on using sound as medicine: a way to meet yourself more fully, connect with inner wisdom, and restore harmony to the nervous system.
You don’t need to consider yourself a “singer” to participate — simply a human with a voice and a willingness to listen inward.
Who It’s For
KAVA may be especially supportive if you are in a season of personal growth, emotional healing, or integration — seeking new ways to connect with your body, voice, and inner experience.
It may be a meaningful fit if you are:
Integrating previous psychedelic or ketamine experiences
Seeking new pathways for emotional release or creative expression
Wanting to reconnect with your body and voice in a safe, supported environment
Exploring somatic healing, trauma resolution, or energy work
Curious about sound as a tool for deepening self-awareness and inner harmony
Our Intention
At Center for New Growth, we hold KAVA sessions within a trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded container. Our facilitator, Serena Malkani, is trained to support emotional safety and embodied awareness, helping participants honor their own pace and boundaries. We view sound as a natural language of the nervous system — a way to regulate, release, and reconnect.
Our intention is to create a space where your voice can emerge freely, unshaped by judgment or expectation. Through this process, many find a deeper sense of vitality, coherence, and inner connection that continues to ripple outward long after the session ends.
