Jo-El Schult
Care Coordinator

About Jo-El
Jo-El (they/them) started their life's work in Health and Wellness as a competitive gymnastics coach, EMT and surgical technician. They come to us after two decades working in the public health sector across Northern California, focusing on rural healthcare and patient access through an equitable lens. After a brief stint as a Lighthouse Keeper (nervous system re-set), they are excited to utilize their experience in community health education and clinical operations at Planned Parenthood NorCal and patient advocacy at Mendocino Coast Clinics to support and elevate the exceptional care provided at The Humboldt Center for New Growth--located on the stolen lands of the Wiyot people.
Jo-El is passionate about increasing access to all types of care, particularly for marginalized and underserved populations. They eagerly advocate for those who might otherwise be overlooked, bringing deep commitment and energy to their work. This happens through their commitment to dismantling systems of oppression and lifting up the voices that our society continues to try to silence.
In Jo-El's personal life, they love doing handstands, being a self-proclaimed amateur chef, spending time with their beautiful spouse and pups, and continue to dabble with the idea of officially retiring from their 25 year+ Drag career.
